Sunrise Adult Softball League
Attention all slowpitch adult teams. GSSA is
now running the Sunrise Softball League with
games at Antelope Community Park and Rusch
Park. For more information on adult leagues,

New GSSA Scholarship Opportunity
In an effort to further the services that
Sacramento ASA provides to the
student-athletes of our association, we
would like to announce the new GSSA
Scholarship opportunity. We would like to
thank Tournament Director Gary Ybarra who
came up with the concept of contributing $10
per team per tournament to a special
scholarship fund. GSSA Championship Play
events and all tournaments on Gary's
schedule are included in the funding of this
scholarship. It is our hope to expand to our
other tournament directors for next year.
For the first year, graduating seniors from
'11 and '12 are eligible. After the first
year, only the current year graduating
seniors will be accepted.

The deadline to apply is January 15th.

Softball Abroad!
Want to play ball in Italy? ACIS is an
educational travel company sponsoring
student trips worldwide. In summer of 2012,
ACIS will send a softball team to compete
against other countries. This team will be
called America's Team and will be led by
Kelly Jackson. This team will be in addition
to your normal travel team and will be gone
for 9 days in the end of July. For more

The GSSA Office has Moved!
Our new location is 6380 Tupelo Drive, Suite
3, Citrus Heights CA 95621. Please send any
communication, registration, tournament
requests or other material to our new
address.

ASA Tournament Directors
ASA and Keith DeGeorge are no longer working
together on tournaments. This determination
was made at the beginning of October. The
events listed in the tournament guide under
Keith's name have either been cancelled or
taken over by another tournament director in
the ASA program.
We would like to welcome a new tournament
director into the ASA family, Tom Bittle.
Tom will run a number of events in 2012.
